West Bay, Middle Percy Island

West Bay is a small but popular anchorage for boats traveling along the Australian coast, as it is mid way between Port Clinton and the Whitsunday Islands to the North. Middle Percy Island is about 3 miles across. West Bay is quite picturesque as someone had planted coconut palms along this pretty stretch of beach, and had built a large A-frame shelter which the visiting yachties are welcome to use for on shore BBQs, etc.
Middle Percy is uninhabited except for one homestead type house in it's middle in which only a few people live, who apparently must like the secluded life on the island. I did not meet them myself during my visit to the bay.
